Today we played another big activity: The “Rich & Poor Game”. Kids were divided into two groups: the rich group and the poor group, without letting them know.
Activity 1: “Treasure hunt”
Activity 2: “Drawing a CISV poster”
During activities the rich group was able to use all the materials and resources on the camp site, while the poor group one had access to limited resources and it was more difficult to accomplish their tasks.
Even during lunch the rich group got a full meal, while the poor group only got bread, butter and water.
During activity 3 we discussed the topic “Rich & Poor” and did a debriefing.
The night activity was the National Night of Portugal.
